What is a Vendor in Shopify?
A vendor is a person or company that sells goods or services to a company or individual. Vendors can be physical stores, online stores, manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, and more.
Shopify stores can have multiple vendors, and each vendor can have their own products, collections, orders, and customers.
Vendors can also be assigned to specific locations. For example, if you have a brick-and-mortar store as well as an online store, you can assign vendors to each location.
You should be aware that when you use Shopify, you are considered the vendor. This means that you are responsible for all aspects of the sale, including shipping the products to the customer and providing customer service. It is important to make sure that you are able to handle all of these responsibilities before using Shopify.
If you’re using Shopify Payments, then all payments for orders placed with vendors will go through Shopify Payments. If you’re not using Shopify Payments, then each vendor will need to set up their own payment gateway.
