What Version of Photoshop Works With High Sierra?

Adobe Photoshop is a widely used program for crafting digital images, and recent versions of the software have added significant new features and capabilities. However, users of Apple’s macOS High Sierra operating system may find that not all versions of Photoshop work properly with the new OS. In particular, users may experience crashes or other errors when using older versions of Photoshop.

Fortunately, Adobe has released an update to Photoshop CC that addresses these compatibility issues. Users who are having trouble running Photoshop on High Sierra can download and install the latest version from Adobe’s website. This update should allow Photoshop to run smoothly on High Sierra, even if you’re using an older version of the software.

If you’re still having trouble running Photoshop on High Sierra after installing the latest update, there are a few other things you can try. First, make sure that you’re using the latest version of macOS High Sierra.

Adobe recommends using the latest version of any operating system for optimal performance. You can check which version of macOS High Sierra you’re using by opening the System Preferences window and clicking on the “About This Mac” option. If there’s a newer version available, download and install it.

Another thing you can try is resetting your Photoshop preferences. To do this, open Photoshop and go to the “Edit” menu.

From there, select “Preferences” and then choose “General”. On the next screen, click the “Reset Preferences” button. This will reset all of your Photoshop preferences to their default values, which may fix any compatibility issues you’re experiencing.

If you’re still having trouble running Photoshop on High Sierra, Adobe also offers a free 30-day trial of the latest version of Photoshop CC. This trial includes all of the same features as the full version of Photoshop, so you can use it to see if upgrading to the latest version solves your compatibility problems.

If it does, you can then purchase and activate the full version of Photoshop CC. Otherwise, you can simply uninstall the trial version and continue using your current version of Photoshop without any further issues.

PRO TIP: When upgrading to High Sierra, be aware that Photoshop CS6 and earlier will no longer function. You will need to upgrade to Photoshop CC 2018 or later in order to continue using the software.
