What Version of WooCommerce Do I Have?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 2:19 pm

When it comes to eCommerce platforms, WooCommerce is one of the most popular choices out there. Part of what makes it so popular is its flexibility – WooCommerce can be used for a wide range of online stores, from small businesses to large enterprises.

But because WooCommerce is so flexible, it can be difficult to keep track of which version you’re using. In this article, we’ll run through how to check which version of WooCommerce you have, and how to keep track of future updates.

First things first – how do you check which version of WooCommerce you’re running? There are two ways to do this:

PRO TIP: If you are using an older version of WooCommerce, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version. Older versions of WooCommerce are no longer supported and may contain security vulnerabilities.

1. Check the “WooCommerce > System Status” page in your WordPress admin area. This page will show you both the version of WooCommerce you’re running, and the version of WordPress itself.

2. If you’re comfortable working with code, you can also check the version number by looking at the “WC_VERSION” constant in the WooCommerce.php file. Just open up this file in a text editor and search for “WC_VERSION”.

Once you know which version of WooCommerce you have, it’s important to keep track of future updates. The easiest way to do this is by subscribing to the WooCommerce blog – this way, you’ll receive an email whenever a new version is released. Alternatively, you can follow @WooCommerce on Twitter, or check the changelog on GitHub.

So there you have it – everything you need to know about checking and updating your WooCommerce installation!
