Where Are WooCommerce Images Stored?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 5:55 am

Images are an integral part of any website, and they play a particularly important role on eCommerce sites. Not only do product images need to be high quality and accurately represent the products being sold, but they also need to be stored in a way that makes them easy to find and manage.

So, where are WooCommerce images stored?

By default, WooCommerce will store all images that are uploaded to the site in the /wp-content/uploads/ directory. This is the same directory that WordPress uses to store all other media files, such as images used in posts and pages.

However, it is possible to change this default behavior by installing a plugin or modifying the code of your theme. For example, some WooCommerce themes come with an option to store images in a separate directory, which can be useful if you have a lot of images or if you want to keep your WordPress media library tidy.

If you’re not sure where your WooCommerce images are stored, you can always check the settings page of your WooCommerce plugin. From there, you can change the default storage location if you need to.
