In order to use a favicon on a website, you need to have a file called a “favicon” in your website’s root directory. This file is typically a PNG or GIF file, and is used to identify a website on a computer screen.

Joomla! provides a built-in Favicon feature that can be used to generate a favicon for your website. To use this feature, follow these steps:.

1. Go to the “system” menu item in your Joomla! website’s main menu.

2. Click on “Settings”.

3. Under the “Site Configuration” category, click on “Favicon”.

4. In the “Favicon” screen, you will see a list of all the files in your website’s root directory.

Select the file you want to use as your website’s favicon.

PRO TIP: The favicon is located in the root directory of your Joomla installation. If you delete or move the favicon, your website will not be able to display it.

5. Click on the “Update Favicon” button.

6. Your favicon will be updated and will now be displayed in the “Favicon” drop-down menu in the “Site Configuration” screen.
