Overlay can be found under the Layer menu, at the bottom of the Layers panel.

Figma is a vector graphic design tool that is gaining popularity among UX and web designers. One of the reasons for its popularity is that it offers a wide variety of features that allow designers to create high-quality designs quickly and easily. One of these features is Overlay.

Overlay is a powerful tool that allows designers to add an extra layer to their design, on top of the existing layers. This extra layer can be used for a variety of purposes, such as adding shadows, highlights, or even just for extra protection against accidental changes.

PRO TIP: If you are looking for the Overlay feature in Figma, you will not find it. Overlay was an experimental feature that was discontinued in December 2019.

To use Overlay, simply select the layer you want to add it to, and then click on the “Add Layer” button at the bottom of the Layers panel. A new layer will be created, on top of the selected layer.

You can then drag and drop the desired image or element onto this new layer.

In conclusion, Overlay can be found under the Layer menu at the bottom of the Layers panel in Figma. It is a powerful tool that allows designers to add an extra layer to their design, on top of the existing layers. To use Overlay, simply select the layer you want to add it to, and then click on the “Add Layer” button at the bottom of the Layers panel.
