Where Is the Polygon Tool in Photoshop?

As one of the most popular image editing programs available, Photoshop is packed with an array of features and tools. While some users are familiar with the program’s many capabilities, others are still learning its ins and outs.

One common question among Photoshop beginners is “Where is the Polygon Tool? ”

The Polygon Tool is located in the Shape tool group on the Tools palette. To access it, simply click and hold on the Rectangle Tool, then select Polygon Tool from the menu that appears.

With this tool, you can create a variety of shapes by clicking to add points around the perimeter. To close off the shape, click the first point you created.

If you’re not seeing the Tools palette, go to Window > Tools. Also, check that you’re in the Standard Mode. By default, Photoshop opens in Quick Mask Mode, which hides some of the tools.

Conclusion:

The Polygon Tool is located in the Shape tool group on the Tools palette. To access it, simply click and hold on the Rectangle Tool, then select Polygon Tool from the menu that appears.

PRO TIP: The Polygon Tool is not available in Photoshop by default. However, it can be found in the custom shapes option under the shapes tool.
