Why can’t I edit my Squarespace site?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 11:14 pm

If you’ve ever tried to make changes to your Squarespace site, you know that it can be a difficult process. There are a few reasons why you might not be able to edit your site:

Your account is locked. If you’ve been banned from editing your site, you’ll need to contact Squarespace support to have your account unlocked.

PRO TIP: If you are experiencing difficulty editing your Squarespace site, it is recommended that you reach out to customer support for assistance. In the meantime, here are a few troubleshooting tips that may help:

-Clear your browser’s cache and cookies
-Disable any ad blockers or pop-up blockers that may be enabled
-Update your browser to the latest version
-Ensure that JavaScript is enabled in your browser settings
-Try using a different browser altogether

Your site is in a draft state. If you haven’t completed your site’s basic design, you’ll need to wait until it’s in a final state before you can make any changes.

You need to have a paid account to make edits. If you don’t have a paid account, you’ll need to sign up for a subscription to make any changes.

If you’re still having trouble editing your site, you might want to consider upgrading to a paid account. This will allow you to make more changes and have more control over your site.
