Why Does My Footer Not Stay at Bottom of Page Wix?

Last updated on January 6, 2023 @ 9:08 am

There are a few reasons why your footer might not be appearing at the bottom of your Wix page. Firstly, check that you have the Footer element added to your page. If you don’t have this element, you can add it by going to Add > More > Footer.

Once you’ve added the Footer element, you’ll need to make sure that it’s being positioned correctly. By default, the Footer element is set to Absolute Positioning, which means that it will be positioned according to where you place it on the page. To change this, go to the Footer element’s settings and change the Positioning setting to Fixed Positioning.

PRO TIP: If you are using the Wix platform to build your website, you may have noticed that your footer does not stay at the bottom of the page. This is a common issue with Wix websites and can be caused by a number of factors.

One possible reason is that your page is set to “Fixed” in the Page Settings. This means that the footer will always be at the bottom of the page, regardless of how much content is on the page. To change this, go to Page Settings and select “Fluid”.

Another possible reason is that your footer contains too much content. This can cause the footer to be pushed down the page, especially if you have a lot of text or images in your footer. Try removing some of the content from your footer and see if that helps.

If you are still having trouble, you may need to contact Wix support for help.

If your footer still isn’t appearing at the bottom of your page, it could be because the content on your page is pushing it down. To fix this, you can add a padding to the bottom of your page by going to Page Settings > Advanced > Custom CSS. In the Custom CSS box, add the following code:

#PAGE# {padding-bottom: 50px;}

This will add a 50px padding to the bottom of your page, which should be enough to make room for your footer.
