Why Does My Wix Site Look Different on Safari?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 6:37 am

If you’re a Wix website owner, you may have noticed that your site looks different when viewed in Safari compared to other browsers like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. The reason for this is that Safari has its own unique rendering engine, which interprets HTML and CSS code differently than other browsers.

This can result in some Wix sites appearing broken or distorted when viewed in Safari.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

There are a few things you can do to try and fix this issue:

PRO TIP: If you are using Safari to view your Wix site and it looks different than it does in other browsers, there may be a problem with your Wix Editor. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies, and then restarting Safari. If that doesn’t work, try using a different browser to see if the issue is specific to Safari.
  • Check your site’s compatibility with Safari: There’s a chance that your site is not compatible with Safari. To check this, open your site in Safari and look for any broken elements or pages that don’t load properly.

If you find any, try reaching out to Wix support for help.

  • Clear your Safari cache: If your site was previously working properly in Safari but suddenly stopped, it could be due to a cached version of your site that’s no longer loading correctly. To fix this, clear your Safari cache and reload your site.
  • Update your Wix Editor: Make sure you’re using the latest version of the Wix Editor. Outdated versions can sometimes cause issues with how your site appears in different browsers.

If you’ve tried all of the above and your Wix site still looks different in Safari, the best thing to do is reach out to Wix support for help.
