If you’ve ever created a website using Wix, you may have noticed that there is no easy way to style your text. You can use the Wix editor to add text, but it’s not possible to change the font, color, or size of your text without adding HTML code.

If you’re new to HTML, this can be a bit daunting. Fortunately, we’ve put together a quick and easy guide to help you style your text in Wix. With just a few simple steps, you’ll be able to change the appearance of your text without having to learn HTML.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

The first thing you’ll need to do is open the Wix editor and select the element that you want to style. For this example, we’ll be styling a heading element. Once you’ve selected the element, click on the “Edit” button in the top-left corner of the editor.

This will open the “Edit” panel. In this panel, you’ll see a number of options that you can use to style your element. The first option is “Text.”

This is where you can change the actual text of your element. For our heading example, we’ll just change the text to “Styling Text in Wix. ”

The next option is “Font.” This is where you can change the font family, size, and color of your text.

For our heading example, we’ll change the font family to “Helvetica” and the size to “24px. ”

The next option is “Line Height.” This is how much space there is between each line of text.

For our heading example, we’ll leave this at the default value of “1.5. ”

PRO TIP: If you are having trouble seeing your Wix menu, it could be because you have not published your site. In order to make your menu visible to visitors, you will need to publish your site.

The next option is “Letter Spacing.” This is how much space there is between each letter in your text.

For our heading example, we’ll leave this at the default value of “0px. ”

The final option in the “Text” section is “Align.” This is how your text will be aligned within your element.

For our heading example, we’ll leave this set to “Left. ”

Once you’ve made all of your changes in the “Text” section, click on the “Save” button in the top-right corner of the panel.

Now that we’ve styled our heading element, let’s move on to styling a paragraph element. Select a paragraph element from your page and click on the “Edit” button in the top-left corner of the editor.

In the “Text” section of the “Edit” panel, you can make all of the same changes that we made to our heading element. For our paragraph example, we’ll just change the font size to “16px.”

All these tags will make different changes to how your texts appears on a web page when applied correctly
