How do I change the upload size in Joomla?

Changing the size of an uploaded file in Joomla can be done in a few simple steps.

1. Navigate to the “Joomla! Document” menu item on your site’s main menu.

2. Select “File Manager.”

3. In the “File Manager” window, select the “Uploads” folder.

4. Locate the “image.jpg” file that you want to change the size of.

5. Click on the “Details” button next to the file’s name.

6. In the “Details” window, click on the “Size” tab.

7. Under the “Size” tab, click on the “Change” button.

8. In the “Change Size” window, enter the new size in bytes (e.g. “1024”).

9. Click on the “OK” button.

10. The size of the “image.jpg” file will be changed to the new value.

11. Repeat steps 4-10 to change the size of any other files in the “Uploads” folder that you want to change.

12. Click on the “Save” button in the “File Manager” window to save your changes.

13. Click on the “Home” button on your site’s main menu to return to the “Joomla! Document” menu item.

14. Select “System” from the “Joomla! Document” menu item’s main menu.

15. Click on the “Settings” tab.

16. Under the “Access Control” heading, click on the “Uploads” tab.

17. Click on the “Change” button next to the “Upload Size” field.

18. In the “Change Upload Size” window, enter the new size in bytes (e.

19. Click on the “Save” button in the “Settings” window to save your changes.

20. Select “Content” from the “Joomla! Document” menu item’s main menu.

21. Click on the “Pages” tab.

22. Click on the “Add New” button.

23. In the “Add New Page” window, enter the name of the new page (e. “Uploads”).

24. The “Uploads” page will be created.

25. On the “Uploads” page, click on the “Image” tab.

26. Repeat steps 31-32 to change the size of any other files in the “Uploads” folder that you want to change.

27. Click on the “Save” button in the “Details” window to save your changes.

28. Click on the “Edit” button next to the “Uploads” page.

29. In the “Edit Pages” window, click on the “Image” tab.

30. Double-click on the file’s name.

31. The “Image Properties” window will be displayed.

32. In the “Image Properties” window, change the “Size” field to the new value.

PRO TIP: If you are changing the upload size in Joomla, make sure that you do not set it too high. Setting the upload size too high can cause your website to crash.
