Figma is a great design tool for many reasons. One reason is that you can change the cursor in Figma to better suit your needs. Here’s how to do it:

First, open Figma and create a new file or open an existing one.

Then, select a text in your design.

The “Text” section will then appear in the toolbar on the right-hand side of the screen.

Now, click on the three dots button in the Text section at the lower-right corner. This will open the Type Settings panel.

PRO TIP: If you are considering changing the cursor in Figma, be aware that there are potential risks involved. The main risk is that you may accidentally change the cursor for other users, which can cause confusion and may even lead to design errors. In addition, changing the cursor may also affect how other tools interact with Figma, so be sure to test your changes thoroughly before making them permanent.

In the “Type Settings” panel, you’ll see a number of different options for styling your text.

Once done styling your text, go to the Prototype tab.

From there, connect the text to one of the frames. To do this, simply hover over the text and click on the “+” icon then connect it to the frame.

In the Interaction details window, select “On click” from the options.

To change the cursor in Figma, you can also use the “Open link” option to add a link to your text. This will automatically change your cursor in the Prototype Preview.

Once done, click on the “Play” button at the top menu to see the preview.

Your cursor will then automatically change once you hover it over the text that you linked to another frame.

NOTE: Currently, Figma does not offer options for you to change into different cursor styles. The cursor will only change automatically if a text is designed to be clicked or selected. So take some time to experiment and find the one that works best for you.

Figma makes it easy to change things up and try new things, so don’t be afraid to experiment with different settings and options until you find something that suits your needs.

Can I Change Cursor in Figma?

Yes, you can change Cursor in Figma by selecting the ‘Text’ tool from the toolbar and then connecting it to another frame in the Prototype tab or by simply adding a link to it. Your cursor will then automatically change once you hover it over the text that you linked.
