Can I Collaborate in Real Time in Canva?

Last updated on September 27, 2022 @ 7:28 pm

Real-time collaboration is one of Canva’s core features. It allows multiple people to work on the same design at the same time, and see each other’s changes in real time.

This is a great way to work on designs with team members, or to get feedback from friends or clients. Here’s how it works:

When you open a design in Canva, you’ll see a “Share” button in the top right corner. Clicking this will open a pop-up where you can enter the email addresses of the people you want to invite to collaborate on the design. Once they accept your invitation, they’ll be able to make changes to the design in real time.

PRO TIP: While Canva is a great tool for collaborating on design projects in real time, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, be sure to save your work regularly – the autosave feature is not always reliable. Second, if you are working with someone who is not familiar with Canva, it may be helpful to have a brief tutorial beforehand. Finally, be aware that if you or your collaborator make any changes to the design after saving, you will need to save the project as a new file – the changes cannot be undone.

You can also invite people to view your design, without giving them editing permissions. To do this, click the “Share” button and select “Get a shareable link.”

This will generate a link that you can share with anyone, and they’ll be able to view your design. They won’t be able to make any changes, but they can leave comments on specific areas of the design.
