Can I Print in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 8:56 am

As of right now, there is no way to print directly from Figma. However, there are a few workaround methods that you can use to get your designs printed.

The first method is to export your design as a PDF and then print the PDF. To do this, go to File > Export and select PDF from the dropdown menu. Once your design is exported as a PDF, you can open it in any PDF viewer and print it from there.

Another method is to take a screenshot of your design and print the image. To do this, go to File > Export and select Image from the dropdown menu. Once your design is exported as an image, you can open it in any image viewer and print it from there.

A third method is to use the Print command in your browser. To do this, go to File > Print. Your design will be opened in a new browser tab where you can then use the browser’s print command to print your design.

Conclusion:

Although there is no direct printing feature in Figma, there are several workaround methods that you can use to get your designs printed. You can export your design as a PDF or image and then print it from any PDF or image viewer. Alternatively, you can use the Print command in your browser after opening your design in a new tab.

PRO TIP: If you are considering printing in Figma, be aware that there are some limitations to consider. Print quality may not be as high as you expect, and certain features (such as gradients) may not print correctly. Make sure to test your design before attempting to print it.
