Can I Use My Own URL With Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 4:09 am

You can use your own URL with Squarespace by connecting your domain to your Squarespace site. To do this, you’ll need to purchase a domain from a domain provider like GoDaddy or Hover, then connect it to your Squarespace site.

Once your domain is connected, you can use it as your primary URL for your site. You can also use a custom domain with a subdomain, like blog.example.com.

If you’re using a third-party DNS provider, you’ll need to update your DNS records. For more help, contact your DNS provider.

PRO TIP: While you can use your own domain name with Squarespace, we recommend using our domain name forwarding feature instead. Domain name forwarding lets you use your own domain name with your Squarespace site without transferring your domain name to us.
