Vectorization is the process of converting a bitmap image into a vector image. Bitmap images are pixel-based images with the formats like JPG and PNG while vector images are vector-based images with formats such as SVG and EPS. Canva supports this through its Canva PRO version.

To vectorize in Canva, simply open your image and click on the “Share” button in the top right-hand corner, then select the “Download” option.

This will bring up a menu with a “File type” option. Simply click on it.

From there, select the “SVG” option.

NOTE: Note that the SVG option is only available with the Canva PRO subscription so you have to purchase it to become available

Once selected, click on the “Download” button to save your image.

Now your image is vectorized!

PRO TIP: Can I Vectorize in Canva?

Yes, you can vectorize in Canva. However, you should be aware that there are some limitations to consider when vectorizing in Canva. Currently, you can only vectorize your image using the SVG file type option in the download settings of Canva. Additionally, you need to purchase a Canva PRO subscription to access the vectorization feature of Canva.

Vector images are great for logos, illustrations, and icons. They’re easy to resize and scale without losing any quality, making them perfect for use in print and digital media. So if you’re looking to create a professional-looking design, vectorization is definitely the way to go!
