Canva is a great platform for budding fashion designers to get their creative juices flowing and create some amazing clothes designs. However, there are some limitations to what you can do on Canva, so if you’re looking to create complex clothing designs, you may need to look elsewhere.
With that said, let’s take a look at what you can do on Canva to design clothes.
First off, you’ll need to create a new project. To do this, click the “Create a design” button on the left-hand side of the screen. Once you’ve done that, select the “Custom dimensions” option from the menu that appears.
In the “Width” and “Height” fields, enter the dimensions of the clothing item you want to design. For example, if you’re designing a shirt, you might want to enter “16” in the width field and “20” in the height field.
Once you’ve done that, select the “Background” tab from the menu at the top of the screen. Here, you can choose a background color or image for your design. If you’re designing a piece of clothing that will be printed, it’s important to choose a color that will pop against the fabric.
Next, it’s time to start adding elements to your design. To do this, select the “Elements” tab from the menu at the top of the screen.
