Last updated on December 10, 2022 @ 1:34 am

PDFs can be embedded in Squarespace, but the process is not always straightforward. The embedding process can be divided into three steps:

    1) uploading the PDF file to your Squarespace account;
    2) creating a custom embed code; and
    3) using the code to embed the PDF in your post.

Uploading the PDF

The first step is to upload the PDF file to your Squarespace account. You can do this by clicking the “Add Media” button on the post’s page, and then selecting “PDF.

” You’ll then be prompted to upload the PDF file.

Once the file has been uploaded, you’ll need to create a custom embed code.

Creating a custom embed code

The next step is to create a custom embed code. To do this, you’ll need to open the PDF file in a text editor, such as Notepad.

Next, you’ll need to locate the code that appears at the bottom of the PDF file. This code will look something like this:

PRO TIP: There is no built-in support for PDF files in Squarespace. If you want to add a PDF to your site, you’ll need to use a third-party service or embed it using HTML code.

< iframe src="https://www.Squarespace.com/embed/pdf-embed" >< /iframe >

You’ll need to copy this code and paste it into a new text document. You can then save this document as a “.txt” file.

Using the embed code

Finally, you’ll need to use the embed code to embed the PDF in your post. To do this, you’ll need to locate the “Post” tab on your post’s page, and then locate the “Embed” button.

You’ll then need to paste the embed code that you created into the “Text” field, and then click “Embed.”

Conclusion:

Can you embed a PDF in Squarespace? Yes, but the process is not always straightforward.
