Figma is a great vector graphic design tool that allows you to easily create complex designs. One of the great features of Figma is the ability to image trace. This allows you to take a bitmap image and convert it into a vector graphic.

Image tracing is a great way to convert complex images into vector graphics that can be easily edited in Figma. The process is fairly simple and only requires a few clicks.

First, open your image in Figma. Then, select the “Image Trace” option from the “Edit” menu.

PRO TIP: When you image trace in Figma, your file will become severely bloated and the performance will suffer as a result. It is not recommended to image trace in Figma unless you absolutely have to.

This will open the Image Trace panel. From here, you can adjust the threshold, colors, and other options to get the perfect trace. Once you’re happy with your settings, click “Trace” to convert your image.

You can then edit your new vector graphic just like any other object in Figma. This includes adding strokes, fills, and changing the colors.
