Can You Layer Images on Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 7:55 am

Images are a powerful way to add visual interest to your Squarespace website. You can use images to create a unique look for your site, or to simply add some extra flair to your pages.

But what if you want to take things a step further and layer multiple images on top of each other? Can you do that in Squarespace?

The answer is yes! You can layer images on top of each other in Squarespace by using the built-in Image Block.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to layer images on Squarespace, be aware that there are some potential risks. First, layering images can make your site slower to load. Second, if not done correctly, image layering can result in a messy and unprofessional-looking site.

Simply add an Image Block to your page, and then click on the image to open the Image Editor. In the Image Editor, click on the “Layer” tab and then select the “Add Layer” option.

This will allow you to add another image on top of the first one. You can use this technique to create a collage-style effect, or to simply add some extra depth and dimension to your images. You can even adjust the opacity of each layer, so that one image is more prominent than the other.

So if you’re looking to add some extra visual interest to your Squarespace site, layering images is a great way to do it!
