Can You Password Protect a Page on Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 7:58 am

There are a few different ways to password protect a page on Squarespace. You can use the built-in password protection feature, which is available for both paid and trial accounts, or you can use a third-party service like Login Lockdown.

If you want to use the built-in password protection feature, simply go to the page you want to protect and click on the “Password Protect This Page” link in the left sidebar. Enter a password and click “Save.” When someone tries to access the page, they’ll be prompted to enter the password.

PRO TIP: Despite the fact that you can password protect individual pages on Squarespace, it is not recommended to do so. The reason being is that it can be quite easy for someone to find the password if they really want to.

If you want more robust protection, you can use a third-party service like Login Lockdown. This service allows you to set up multiple passwords, requires users to answer a security question, and keeps track of failed login attempts. It’s a bit more complicated to set up, but it will deter most hackers.

So, can you password protect a page on Squarespace? Yes, there are a few different ways to do it.
