Can You Trim in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 4:06 pm

You can certainly trim in Photoshop, and there are a few different ways to do it. The first way is to use the Crop tool.

With the Crop tool selected, simply click and drag around the area you want to crop. When you’re satisfied with your selection, press Enter or Return, and the area outside of your selection will be trimmed away.

PRO TIP: Can You Trim in Photoshop?

If you are planning to trim your photos in Photoshop, be aware that this can result in some loss of quality. When you trim a photo, you are essentially cropping it, and this can reduce the resolution and/or cause some artifacts around the edges of the photo.

If you want more control over your cropping, you can use the Trim command. To do this, go to Image > Trim, and then select the edges that you want to trim away.

You can also specify which pixels to trim by entering a value in the Width or Height field. Once you’re happy with your selection, press Enter or Return, and Photoshop will trim away the selected pixels.

So there you have it – two ways to trim your images in Photoshop!
