Can You Warp an Image in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 9:32 am

Figma is a great tool for creating vector graphics, but one of its lesser-known features is its ability to warp images. This can be useful for creating interesting effects or simply for correcting perspective.

To warp an image in Figma, first select the image. Then, click on the “Edit” button in the top-right corner of the image. This will open up the “Edit Image” panel.

In the “Edit Image” panel, you’ll see a number of options for editing your image. The “Warp” option is near the bottom. To use it, simply click and drag on the grid that appears over your image.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that warping an image in Figma can result in distortion and may not produce the desired effect.

You can also use the “Warp” option to correct perspective. For example, if you have an image of a building that appears to be leaning to one side, you can use the “Warp” tool to straighten it out.

Once you’re happy with your warped image, simply click the “OK” button to apply your changes.

So, there you have it! With just a few clicks, you can easily warp an image in Figma. So go ahead and experiment with this handy tool to see what kinds of interesting effects you can create.
