How Do You Drag and Drop an Image in Figma?

In Figma, you can drag and drop an image from your computer onto the canvas. This will insert the image into your design. You can also style the text within the image using the < b > and < u > tags.

To drag and drop an image in Figma:

  1. Open Figma and create a new project or open an existing project.
  2. Click on the “Upload” icon in the left sidebar.
  3. Select “Upload from Computer” and choose the image you want to insert.
  4. Once the image is uploaded, click and drag it onto the canvas.

To style text within an image in Figma:

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Figma, we recommend that you do not attempt to drag and drop an image in Figma. This can result in undesired changes to your image.
  1. Double-click on the image to open it in the Editor.
  2. Click on the “Text” tool in the toolbar.
  3. Click and drag to create a text box within the image.
  4. Type your text into the box.
  5. To style the text, select it and use the < b >, < i >, or < u > tags in the toolbar.

Now that you know how to drag and drop an image in Figma, as well as how to style text within images, you can start creating designs with more complex layouts. Experiment with different images and text styles to see what works best for your project.
