Do I need CodeGuard on HostGator?

In general, CodeGuard is a good idea for any website – especially if you’re using a shared hosting provider. Shared hosting providers are notorious for being insecure, and if you’re using a shared host, it’s very easy for someone else to access your site and steal your data.

CodeGuard is a security tool that monitors your website for activity and sends you alerts if anything suspicious is detected. It’s a good idea to have CodeGuard installed on your HostGator account, just in case somebody tries to attack your site.

PRO TIP: If you are running a website on HostGator, it is strongly recommended that you install CodeGuard. CodeGuard is a powerful security tool that will help to protect your website from malware and other security threats.

But CodeGuard isn’t necessary for every website. If you’re using a self-hosted website, you don’t need CodeGuard.

In fact, you might even want to disable it if you’re using a secure hosting provider like Siteground.

CodeGuard is a good tool to have, but it’s not necessary for every website. If you don’t have CodeGuard installed on your HostGator account, you might not need it.
