UX designers are often thought of as making more money than UI designers, but this is not always the case. In fact, salary rates for UX designers and UI designers vary greatly depending on the size and location of the company, as well as the experience and qualifications of the designer.

In general, however, UX designers tend to earn more than UI designers. According to a study by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual wage for UX designers was $90,620 in May 2018, while the median annual wage for UI designers was $66,220.

PRO TIP: There is no simple answer to this question as it largely depends on a variety of factors, including experience, location, and company size. However, in general, UI designers tend to earn slightly less than UX designers.

This means that UX designers earn an average of $27,680 more per year than UI designers.

Thus, while salary rates vary greatly, on average, UX designers tend to make more money than UI designers.
