Does Photoshop Have Vector Tools?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 1:33 am

Photoshop is a widely used program for crafting digital images, but does it have vector tools?

Photoshop is a pixel-based program, which means it uses tiny square pixels to create images. However, some newer versions of Photoshop do have some vector capabilities.

PRO TIP: Photoshop does not have vector tools. If you try to use Photoshop to create or edit vector graphics, you will not be able to produce the quality results that you expect.

Vector graphics are created using mathematical formulas to draw out shapes. This results in graphics that are clean and can be scaled to any size without losing quality.

While Photoshop does have some vector capabilities, it is not a full-fledged vector program like Illustrator. If you’re looking to do serious vector work, then you’ll need to use a dedicated vector program like Illustrator.

In conclusion, Photoshop does have some vector capabilities, but it is not a full-fledged vector program like Illustrator.
