How Can I Change Background Color in Figma?

Figma is a vector drawing and animation software that is used by graphic designers and web developers to create high-quality images and prototypes. One of the most common questions that people ask about Figma is how they can change the background color of their project. While there are a few different ways to do this, the easiest way is to use the “fill” tool.

To change the background color of your project in Figma, first select the “fill” tool from the left toolbar. Then, click on the area of your project that you want to fill with color. However, make sure to highlight the Frame layer or the object first before applying a background color change. Little corner boxes will appear to indicate that the frame is highlighted and ready for editing.

Then, a color picker will appear, allowing you to select the exact color that you want to use. Once you have selected a color, simply click on the “OK” button to apply it to your project. You can also input a hex code if you have a specific color in mind or drag around the color picker circle to experiment with what color suits your design. The highlighted frame or object will automatically change its color depending on your pick.

Similarly, you can change the background color of your text by following the same process. Simply click the text in your layer or directly double-click it in the canvas before picking your background fill color.

If you want to style text in HTML using < p >,< b >, and < u > tags, then the first thing you need to do is enclose your text in these tags. For example, if you want your text to be bold, you would enclose it in < b > tags like this: This text is bold.

If you want your text to be underlined, you would enclose it in < u > tags like this: This text is underlined. And if you want your text to be a paragraph, you would enclose it in

tags like this:

This text is a paragraph.

Once your text is enclosed in the appropriate tags, simply save your HTML file and view it in a web browser to see the results.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Figma, we recommend that you avoid trying to change the background color. Doing so may result in unexpected changes to your design.
