Adobe Photoshop has a variety of ways to view the size of your brush tip. The first way is to go up to the Options bar and check the “Brush Tip Shape” settings. This will show you the diameter of your brush in pixels.

Go to Photoshop brush tip shape to see the size of the brush

You can also hold down the Option key (Mac) / Alt key (PC) and your brush will change into a crosshair. The size of the crosshair will give you an indication of how big your brush is.

You can also use the “Brush Size” settings in the Brushes palette to see the size of your brush. Simply select the “Brush Size” option and you will be able to see the current brush size in pixels. You can also use the “Brush Presets” option to save different brush sizes so that you can quickly access them later on.

PRO TIP: If you are using a version of Photoshop that is lower than CS6, you will not be able to see the brush size in the program. This can lead to frustration when trying to create detailed work, as it can be difficult to gauge how large or small your brushstrokes are without a visual reference. If you are working with an older version of Photoshop, it is recommended that you upgrade to CS6 or higher in order to take advantage of this feature.

Finally, you can also view the size of your brush by looking at the bottom left corner of your screen. Photoshop will show you the current brush size in pixels as well as the percentage of zoom that you are currently working at.
