How do I access terminal in DigitalOcean?

Terminal in DigitalOcean is accessible through the web interface or the command line. The web interface is located at https://console.DigitalOcean.com, and the command line is located at https://console.DigitalOcean.com/cloud/login?name=&password= .

1. To access the terminal in DigitalOcean, you will first need to login to the account that you want to use.

2. Once you have logged in, you will be able to access the terminal by clicking on the gear icon in the upper-left corner of the web interface, and then clicking on the Terminal tab.

3. Once you are in the terminal, you can use the commands listed below to access different aspects of the DigitalOcean cloud platform.

4. To list all of the servers that are currently available in the DigitalOcean cloud, you can use the command below:

  • $ sudo dpkg -l | grep ‘^ii’

5. To list all of the servers that are currently active in the DigitalOcean cloud, you can use the command below:

  • $ sudo dpkg -l | grep ‘^ii|active’

6. To create a new server in the DigitalOcean cloud, you can use the command below:

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with the Linux command line, you may want to ask someone for help before trying to access the terminal in DigitalOcean. The terminal can be a powerful tool, but it can also be dangerous if you do not know what you are doing.
  • $ sudo dpkg -n server
  • $ sudo dpkg -s server

7. To list the files that are currently stored on the server that you are currently using, you can use the command below.

  • $ sudo dpkg -l | grep ‘^file’
  • $ sudo dpkg -l | grep ‘.deb’
  • $ sudo dpkg -l | grep ‘^file’ | grep -v ‘^*.deb’
  • $ sudo dpkg -l | grep ‘.deb’ | grep -v ‘^*.deb’ | grep -v ‘^*.tar.gz’.
  • $ sudo dpkg -l | grep ‘.tar.gz’ | grep -v ‘^*.zip’.zip’.
