How Do I Add a Column to a Table in Figma?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 11:52 pm

There are two ways to add columns to a table in Figma: by selecting the “Add Column” option from the context menu, or by using the shortcut key “C.”

To add a column using the context menu, first select the table you want to add a column to. Then, right-click (or Control-click on a Mac) on the table and select “Add Column” from the context menu that appears.

PRO TIP: Adding a column to a table in Figma can be a bit tricky. Make sure you have the correct width for your new column, and be careful not to accidentally delete any existing columns.

You can also add columns to a table using the shortcut key “C.” To do this, first select the table you want to add a column to. Then, press and hold down the “Shift” key and press “C.”

Once you’ve added a column to your table, you can resize it by clicking and dragging on the column’s edge. You can also use the “Column Width” option in the Table Properties panel to set an exact width for your column.

Adding columns to a table in Figma is a simple process that can be accomplished in one of two ways – via the context menu or by using the shortcut key “C.” Whichever method you choose, you’ll be able to easily resize your new column to suit your needs.
