How Do I Add a Continue Shopping Button on Shopify?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 4:29 pm

When you set up a Shopify store, you can add a “Continue Shopping” button to your shop’s checkout page. This button allows customers to continue shopping after they’ve added an item to their cart. You can add this button by going to your Shopify admin and navigating to Checkout.

Once you’re on the Checkout page, scroll down to the Order processing section and look for the “Continue shopping” button setting. By default, this setting is turned off. To turn it on, simply click the checkbox next to “Display a ‘continue shopping’ button on the checkout page”.

Once you’ve done that, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “Save”. Your changes will be saved and the “Continue Shopping” button will be added to your checkout page!

PRO TIP: If you are using the Shopify platform to sell products online, it is important to know how to add a continue shopping button. This button allows customers to continue shopping after they have added an item to their cart. Without this button, customers would have to start their shopping experience over from the beginning every time they added an item to their cart.

Adding a continue shopping button is a simple process, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, you’ll need to create a new button in your Shopify theme. Second, you’ll need to link the button to the URL of the page where your customers were shopping before they added an item to their cart.

It’s important to test the continue shopping button after you’ve added it to your Shopify theme. Make sure that it takes customers back to the page where they were shopping before they added an item to their cart. Otherwise, they may get frustrated and leave your site without completing their purchase.
