How Do I Add a Donation Button to Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 8:27 am

There are two ways to add a donation button to your Squarespace website. You can either use the built-in donation button feature, or you can use a third-party service that provides donation buttons.

If you want to use the built-in donation button feature, you first need to create a campaign. To do this, go to the Campaigns page and click the “Create Campaign” button.

Enter a name for your campaign and then click the “Create Campaign” button.

Once your campaign is created, go to the Settings page and click the “Donation Button” tab.

Here, you can enter the text that will be displayed on your donation button, as well as choose whether or not to display the amount of money raised so far.

PRO TIP: While Squarespace does allow users to add donation buttons to their website, it is important to note that there are some potential risks associated with this. For example, if you are using a third-party service to process donations, there is a possibility that your personal and financial information could be compromised. Additionally, it is important to make sure that the donation button is placed in a prominent and easily accessible location on your website, as donors may not be able to find it if it is buried among other content.

When you’re finished, click the “Save” button.

Your donation button will now be displayed on your website. If you want to style it, you can do so using CSS.

If you want to use a third-party service to provide donation buttons for your website, there are many options available. Some popular services include Donorbox, Givelify, and PayPal Giving Fund.

To add a donation button from one of these services, simply create an account with the service and follow their instructions for adding the button to your Squarespace website.

No matter which method you choose, adding a donation button to your Squarespace website is a great way to support your favorite causes!
