Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 12:33 am

If you’re running a website on the Wix platform, you may want to add a language option to make it more accessible to international audiences. Luckily, Wix makes it easy to add a language switch to your site. Here’s how:

First, log in to your Wix account and go to the editor. Then, click on the “Add” button in the left-hand sidebar and select “Language.”

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

Once you’ve added the language switch to your site, you can start adding languages. To do this, click on the language switch and then select “Add Language.”

PRO TIP: Adding a language to Wix can be done through the Language tab in the Editor. However, it is important to note that adding a language to Wix will only change the text on your site – it will not automatically translate your site into that language. If you want to create a multilingual site, you will need to create separate versions of your site in each language.

In the pop-up window, select the language you want to add from the drop-down menu. Then, enter the URL of the page you want to translate into that language.

Finally, click “Add. ”

Repeat this process for each language you want to add. Once you’re finished, visitors to your site will be able to choose their preferred language from a drop-down menu.

Adding a language option to your Wix website is a great way to make it more accessible to international audiences. Follow the steps above to add a language switch to your site and start adding languages.
