Adding a plugin to your WordPress site is a fairly simple process. The first step is to go to the Plugins page and click on the Add New Plugin link.

This will open the Add New Plugin Wizard.

The first step in the Add New Plugin Wizard is to choose the type of plugin you want to create. WordPress has a few different types of plugins:

Core: These are the basic plugins that WordPress offers and are required for almost all sites.

Customizer: These plugins allow you to customize the look and feel of your site.

Theme: These plugins allow you to create a custom WordPress theme.

Once you have selected the type of plugin you want to create, the next step is to choose the plugin category. WordPress has several different plugin categories, including but not limited to:

Posts and Pages: These plugins allow you to manage posts and pages.

PRO TIP: When adding a plugin to your WordPress site, be sure to download it from a reputable source. Also, check the reviews and ratings of the plugin before installing it.

Media: These plugins allow you to manage media files, such as photos and videos.

Posts: These plugins allow you to manage posts.

Comments: These plugins allow you to manage comments on posts.

Blocks: These plugins allow you to manage blocks of content, such as sidebar blocks or content areas.

Settings: These plugins allow you to manage site settings.

The next step is to choose the plugin file. WordPress will search for the plugin file on your site and load it if it is found.

If the plugin file is not found, WordPress will prompt you to add it.

The next step is to choose the plugin settings. WordPress will display the plugin settings page, where you can set the plugin’s name, description, author, and more.

The final step is to click on the Save Changes button to save your plugin.
