If you’re using Squarespace, you may have noticed that there’s no built-in CAPTCHA feature. However, you can still add CAPTCHA to your Squarespace site by using a third-party service. Here’s how:

1. Go to the reCAPTCHA site and sign up for an account. You’ll need to enter your site’s URL and choose a type of CAPTCHA (we recommend “reCAPTCHA v2”).

2. Once you’ve signed up, you’ll be given a Site Key and a Secret Key. Copy these keys and head back to your Squarespace site.

3. In the Home Menu, click Pages. Then, click the + icon next to the Pages header.

4. Select Code from the list of page types.

5. Paste your Site Key and Secret Key in the appropriate fields and then click Apply.

6. You should now see a CAPTCHA on your Squarespace site!

PRO TIP: The following note is a warning for anyone considering adding a reCAPTCHA to their Squarespace website.

Before you add a reCAPTCHA to your Squarespace website, be aware that doing so may negatively impact your website’s performance. In some cases, adding a reCAPTCHA can slow down page loading times, and may even cause some pages to become unresponsive. If you do decide to add a reCAPTCHA to your Squarespace website, be sure to test it thoroughly to ensure that it does not adversely affect your website’s performance.
