PRO TIP: Adding a video to your Squarespace site without using YouTube or Vimeo is not recommended. While it is possible to do so, it may result in decreased video quality and/or playback issues.

There are many ways to add a video to your Squarespace website without using YouTube or Vimeo. You can use one of the following methods:

1. Use a video file host like Wistia, Vimeo, or YouTube

2. Use an HTML5 video player like JW Player or Flowplayer

3. Use a video embed code from a site like Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter

4. Use a video URL from a site like Amazon S3

5. Use a video file from your computer

To add a video from Wistia, Vimeo, or YouTube, you’ll need to first create an account with one of these services and upload your video. Once your video is uploaded, you’ll be given an embed code that you can copy and paste into the HTML of your Squarespace page.

To add an HTML5 video player, you’ll need to first download and install the player on your computer. Once the player is installed, you can upload your video files to it and then copy and paste the player’s code into the HTML of your Squarespace page.

To add a video embed code from Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, you’ll need to find the code for the specific video you want to add. To do this, go to the page on which the video is located and click on the “share” button.

From there, you should be able to find an option to “embed” the video. Copy and paste this code into the HTML of your Squarespace page.

Adding a video URL from Amazon S3 is a bit more complicated than the other methods, but it can be done by following these steps:
1. Go to the Amazon S3 website and sign in with your Amazon account information. 2. Click on the “Create Bucket” button and give your bucket a name (this is where your videos will be stored). 3. Click on the “Create Folder” button inside of your bucket and give your folder a name (this is where your specific video will be stored). 4.

Upload your video file into this folder by clicking on the “Upload” button and selecting your file from its saved location on your computer. 5. Once your file has been uploaded successfully, right-click on it and select “Make public.” 6. Now that your file is public, you can copy its URL by right-clicking on it again and selecting “Copy link address.” 7. Paste this URL into the HTML of your Squarespace page where you want your video to appear.

Adding videos to Squarespace doesn’t have to be difficult – there are many different ways to do it without relying on YouTube or Vimeo!
