Adding an asset library to Figma is a great way to keep your design files organized and your team on the same page. Here’s how to do it:

1. In the upper-left corner of Figma, click the plus sign (+).

2. Hover your cursor over “Library” and click “Create new library.”

3. Name your library and click “Create.”

4. In the left sidebar, hover your cursor over your new library and click the three dots that appear.

5. Select “Edit details.”

6. Under “Permissions,” select who you want to be able to access your library. Then, click “Save.”

7. To add assets to your library, simply drag and drop them into the section labeled “Drop files here.” You can also click the “+” sign in the upper-right corner of the asset section and select “Upload files.”

Your asset library is now set up and ready to use!

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, adding an asset library to Figma can result in decreased performance and stability for your Figma account. Make sure to only add asset libraries from reliable sources, and be sure to keep an eye on your account after adding a new library to ensure everything is running smoothly.
