How Do I Add Disqus to Wix?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 9:48 am

Adding Disqus to Wix is a fairly simple process that can be completed in just a few steps. First, you will need to create a free Disqus account if you do not already have one.

Once you have created your account, log in and go to the Disqus website. Next, click on the “Get Started” button and select “I want to install Disqus on my site.”

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

Next, you will be asked to choose your platform. Select “Wix” from the list of options.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about adding Disqus to your Wix website, be warned that this could have a negative impact on your website’s performance. Disqus is a third-party commenting system that can slow down your website, and it may also present security risks.

After selecting Wix, you will be given a code snippet that you will need to add to your Wix site. Simply copy the code and paste it into the HTML code of your site.

Once you have added the code snippet, you will need to configure your Disqus settings. To do this, log in to your Disqus account and go to the “Settings” page.

On the settings page, you will need to select the “Wix” tab and enter your Wix site URL. After entering your URL, click on the “Update Settings” button.

That’s it! You have now successfully added Disqus to your Wix site!
