How Do I Add I Am Not a Robot Captcha in Squarespace?

If you’re using Squarespace, you may have noticed that there’s no built-in “I’m not a robot” Captcha option. However, you can add this functionality to your site by following a few simple steps.

First, you’ll need to create a new page on your Squarespace site. To do this, go to the Pages tab in the left-hand sidebar, then click the + symbol next to it. Give your page a title (e.g., “Contact”) and then click the Create Page button.

Next, you’ll need to add some HTML code to your new page. This code will include a link to the Captcha script, as well as a form that visitors will need to fill out in order to submit their information.

You can find the code for this form here. Once you have the code, go to your new page in Squarespace and click the Edit button in the top-right corner.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that adding a “I am not a robot” Captcha to your Squarespace site may not be as effective as you think. While it may stop some automated bots from accessing your site, it will not stop all of them. In addition, some bots are now sophisticated enough to bypass Captchas altogether. If you’re looking for a way to protect your site from bots, we recommend using a Squarespace plugin or third-party service that specializes in this.

In the editor window that appears, click on the Code block icon (it looks like < >). Paste your HTML code into the Code block and then click the Save button.

Now that you’ve added the Captcha script to your page, visitors will be prompted to complete a short challenge before they can submit their information. This will help reduce spam submissions and make sure that only real people are contacting you through your website.
