If you’re looking to add a CAPTCHA to your Squarespace site, there are a few different ways to go about it. Here’s a quick rundown of each method and how to implement it.

PRO TIP: The following note is provided as a warning for those considering adding a Captcha to their Squarespace site.

While it is possible to add a Captcha to your Squarespace site, this is not recommended as it can negatively impact your site’s performance and usability. Additionally, Captchas are often used by spammers and hackers to gain access to your site, so it is best to avoid using them altogether.

1. Use a CAPTCHA Widget

There are a handful of CAPTCHA widgets available for Squarespace, including reCAPTCHA from Google and hCaptcha. To add one of these widgets to your site, simply find the code snippet from the provider and paste it into the Code Injection section of your site settings.

2. Use a Form Block

If you’re using a Form Block on your Squarespace site, you can add a CAPTCHA field to it by selecting the “CAPTCHA” field type from the dropdown menu. This will add a basic CAPTCHA challenge to your form that must be completed before the form can be submitted.

3. Use a Third-Party Form Provider

If you’re using a third-party form provider like Typeform or Wufoo, you can usually add a CAPTCHA field to your form by selecting it from the list of available fields. Check with your form provider’s documentation for more information on how to do this.

Adding a CAPTCHA to your Squarespace site is a great way to protect it from spam submissions. By using one of the methods above, you can easily add this security measure to your site without much hassle.
