How Do I Add LUTs in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 2:41 pm

LUTs, or Look Up Tables, are a great way to add color grading to your photos in Photoshop. By using a LUT, you can map out the colors in your image to create a specific look.

You can find LUTs online or create your own. To add a LUT in Photoshop, go to the “Image” menu and select “Adjustments” followed by “Color Balance.”

In the “Color Balance” dialogue box, select the “ presets” drop-down menu and choose “Load 3D LUT.”

PRO TIP: Adding LUTs (look-up tables) to Photoshop can be a helpful way to change the color of an image, but it is important to be aware that this process can also introduce artifacts and noise into the image. It is recommended that you use caution when adding LUTs to Photoshop, and only do so if you are confident in your ability to edit the image afterwards.

Now, navigate to where you have saved your LUT file and select it. Once it is loaded, you will see the effect it has on your image.

You can adjust the strength of the effect by moving the “LUT intensity” slider. When you are happy with the results, click “OK.”
