How Do I Batch Convert Images in Photoshop?

Last updated on January 24, 2023 @ 12:06 pm

Batch converting images in Photoshop is a quick and easy way to save time when dealing with multiple image files. Here’s how to do it:

1. First, open Adobe Photoshop on your computer.

2. Then, go to the File menu at the top of the screen and select Open. This will open the Open dialog box, which will allow you to select the images you want to convert.

3. In the Open dialog box, select the images you want to convert by holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and clicking on each image file.

Once you have selected all of the images you want to convert, click on the Open button.

4. Now that your images are open in Photoshop, go to the File menu again and this time select Save As. This will open the Save As dialog box, which allows you to choose where you want to save the converted images and what format you want to save them in.

Note: If you want to batch convert your images into a different format (e.g., from JPEG to PNG), make sure to select the desired format from the Format drop-down menu in the Save As dialog box.

5. Once you have chosen where you want to save the converted images and what format you want them saved in, click on the Save button.

PRO TIP: When batch converting images in Photoshop, it is important to be aware that all the images will be converted to the same file format. For example, if you are batch converting JPEG images to TIFF format, all the images will be converted to TIFF format and any editing that you have done on the original JPEG image will be lost.
