Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 8:12 pm

There are a few ways to calibrate your monitor to improve the accuracy of images and text in Photoshop. The first is to use the Calibrate Screen function in the Image menu. The second is to use a calibration device, such as the X-Rite i1 Display Pro.

The third is to use the colorimeter built into Photoshop. The fourth is to use a software program, such as Spyder4 Pro or ColorMunki, to calibrate your monitor.

When using the Calibrate Screen function, Photoshop will ask you to select a color to Target. You can then use the eyedropper tool to sample a nearby color on your screen and Photoshop will use that color to Target the calibration.

You can also use the eyedropper tool to Target a color in the image. Once you have Targeted the color, you can use the slider to adjust the calibration.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with the process of calibrating your monitor for Photoshop, it is best to avoid attempting it. Incorrectly calibrating your monitor can result in inaccurate colors and tones in your photographs.
