How do I change my Joomla Homepage image?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 7:42 am

Changing your Joomla homepage image is a simple process that can make a big difference in your website’s appearance. To change your image, first make sure you have the correct file saved on your computer. You can find your image file in the following location:

Windows: C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\Joomla\templates\home

Mac: /Users/YourUserName/Library/Application Support/Joomla/templates/home

Linux: ~/.Joomla/templates/home

Next, locate the file called “images.php” in your Joomla root folder. This file contains all of the image files for your website.

PRO TIP: If you are changing your Joomla Homepage image, be sure to first backup your image. You will need to delete your current image and then upload the new image. Be sure that the new image is the same size as the current image.

To update your image, simply replace the old image file with the new one. Finally, restart your website to apply the changes.
