How do I change my order status in WooCommerce?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 9:43 pm

When you purchase something through WooCommerce, the order is placed in the “Orders” tab under the “My Account” section. Below the “Orders” tab, you’ll see the “Change Order Status” link.

Clicking this link will take you to the “Change Order Status” page.

On the “Change Order Status” page, you’ll see the following options:

1. “Pending Payment” – This is the order status that is displayed when the payment has not yet been processed.

2. “Completed” – This is the order status that is displayed when the order has been fully processed and the customer has received their product.

3. “Rejected” – This is the order status that is displayed when the order has been rejected by the WooCommerce supplier.

4. “Shipping Failed” – This is the order status that is displayed when the order cannot be processed because the shipping information is incorrect.

5. “Shipping Paused” – This is the order status that is displayed when the order cannot be processed because the shipping information is waiting for a response from the WooCommerce supplier.

6. “In Process” – This is the order status that is displayed when the order is being processed by the WooCommerce supplier.

7. “Pending Payment Confirmation” – This is the order status that is displayed when the payment has been confirmed but has not yet been processed.

8. “Pending Shipping” – This is the order status that is displayed when the order is waiting to be shipped.

9. “Shipped” – This is the order status that is displayed when the order has been shipped and has been delivered to the customer.

10. “Cancelled” – This is the order status that is displayed when the order has been cancelled by the customer.

When you change the order status, WooCommerce will send a notification to the customer and the supplier. The supplier will then be able to process the order and send the product to the customer.

PRO TIP: If you are changing the order status for a WooCommerce order, please be aware that this could potentially impact the customer’s experience with their order. For example, if you change the order status from “Pending” to “Cancelled”, the customer will no longer be able to see their order in their account area on your website.
