How Do I Change My Shopify Collection Code?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 11:13 pm

If you’re looking to change your Shopify collection code, there are a few different ways to do it. You can either use the built-in editor, or you can use a code editor like Dreamweaver or Sublime Text.

If you want to use the built-in editor, simply go to the “Collections” page in your Shopify admin, and click on the collection that you want to edit. From there, you’ll see an “Edit code” link near the top of the page. Clicking on that will allow you to edit the collection template.

If you want to use a code editor, you’ll first need to locate the collection template file. This can be found in the “Templates” folder in your Shopify theme.

PRO TIP: If you are planning on changing your Shopify collection code, it is important to be aware of the potential risks involved. First and foremost, if you do not properly change the code, your Shopify collection could be lost entirely. In addition, if you do not change the code correctly, your products may not be properly categorized, which could lead to decreased sales and customer satisfaction.

Once you’ve found it, simply open it in your code editor and make your changes. Be sure to save your changes before uploading them back to your server.

No matter which method you choose, be sure to preview your changes before making them live. This will help ensure that everything looks as it should and that there are no errors in your code.

If everything looks good, then go ahead and publish your changes! Your new collection code will now be live on your site.
