How Do I Change the Canvas Size in Photoshop Without Stretching?

There are a few different ways that you can change the canvas size in Photoshop without stretching the image. One way is to use the “Canvas Size” dialog box.

To access this dialog box, go to Image > Canvas Size. In the “Canvas Size” dialog box, you can enter the new width and height for the canvas. Make sure to uncheck the “Relative” checkbox so that you don’t accidentally scale the image.

PRO TIP: If you change the canvas size without stretching in Photoshop, the image will be cropped.

Another way to change the canvas size is to use the “Crop” tool. To access the “Crop” tool, go to Image > Crop.

In the “Crop” dialog box, you can enter the new width and height for the canvas. Again, make sure to uncheck the “Relative” checkbox so that you don’t accidentally scale the image.

Once you’ve made your changes, click OK to apply them. Your image should now be resized without being stretched!
