How Do I Change the Color Code in Photoshop?

If you’re working with text in Photoshop, there may be times when you want to change the color of the text. Thankfully, this is a relatively easy process. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it.

First, open the image in Photoshop that you want to edit. Then, select the Horizontal Type Tool from the Tools palette, or press T on your keyboard to select it quickly.

Once you have the Type Tool selected, click on the area of the image where you want to add your text. A text box will appear and you can begin typing your text.

Now that you have your text added to the image, it’s time to change its color. With the Type Tool still selected, click on the word or phrase that you want to change the color of.

Then, go up to the Options bar at the top of the screen and click on the color swatch next to the word “Color. ”

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, or do not feel comfortable changing the color code, it is best to leave this task to someone who is more experienced. Making a mistake while changing the color code can result in undesirable changes to your image.

This will bring up Photoshop’s Color Picker dialog box. From here, you can choose whatever color you want for your text. When you’re done, click “OK” to close out of the dialog box.
